Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are set to release their first novel May 12. Titled The Adventures Of Slim & Howdy, the work is based on the two western characters that have been traditionally featured in the prosaic liner notes of their albums. The book finds them engaged in a series of dangerous encounters in a road saga as they chase musical success.

Kix and Ronnie co-wrote Slim & Howdy with author Bill Fitzhugh.
